Network of Serbian Energy managers

 

Central European Development Forum CEDEF, invites you to attend the First Summit of Serbian Energy managers and the launch of MEMS – Network of Serbian Energy managers in Vršac, on December 14th, 2011. The Summit is organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure of Republic of Serbia, in cooperation with the Serbian Energy Efficiency Agency, the Secretariat for Energy and Mineral Resources of AP Vojvodina and the Municipality of Vrsac as host.

 

In the run up to UN`s year on ENERGY FOR ALL in 2012, CEDEF has provided that this unique event to be opened by Verica Kalanovic, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic and Regional Development,  Milos Banjac, Assistant of Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Bojan Kovacic, Deputy Director of the Serbian Energy Efficiency Agency, Radoslav Striković, secretary of the Secretariat of Energy and Mineral Resources and Cedomir Zivkovic, Mayor of Vrsac.

 

Law on Rational Use of Energy which is in the making provides for the obligation of introducing energy managers in municipalities, therefore CEDEF, on the basis of it`s PLATFORM initiated the establishment of  MEMS – Network of Serbian Energy managers. CEDEF initiative was supported by the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure of the Republic of Serbia, the Serbian Energy Efficiency Agency, the Secretariat for Energy and Mineral Resources of AP Vojvodina, Chamber of Commerce Serbia, Universities of Belgrade, Novi Sad and Nis and the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities, as well as many energy managers of cities and municipalities, industry, transportation and public utility companies.
