Central European Forum for Development CEDEF in cooperation with the Energy Efficiency Agency of the Republic of Serbia and company Henkel announced another journalist competition for the best media coverage on the topic of: "Insulation in Buildings and Energy Efficiency".
The aim of the competition is to raise public awareness of the importance of isolation as one of the key factors in energy efficiency in buildings. The energy consumption in buildings of any kind, including residential, takes the most energy of the total energy consumption in many countries, an average of up to 60%, and in Serbia 39-42%. Therefore, it is necessary to work towards improving energy efficiency in buildings. The competition is open until 30 December 2011. The award for the best media coverage is the study tour to one of the European offices of Henkel company.
The jury will consider applications based on contribution to raising public awareness on the importance of insulation in buildings and use of materials that save energy, but will not disregard the general journalistic criteria, such as creativity, originality, ethics, and contribution to positive change in society.
Conditions of competition:
The right to apply is open to all journalists, news agencies and media which have published pieces on this topic on the territory of Serbia, in printed, electronic or internet media. Each journalist has the right to submit a maximum of three items. This includes reports, interviews, articles etc., and the prize is awarded for work published or broadcast during 01.01.2011. to 30.12.2011.

The expert jury: The expert jury will review the entries and decide on the best media coverage. Jury members are: - Jovanka Arsić-Karišić, Chairman of the Board CEDEF, also the President of the Jury - Jelka Jovanovic Vice President of NUNS - Peter Jeremic, President IO UNS - Bojan Kovacic, Energy Efficiency Agency of the Republic of Serbia - Dr. Miodrag Mesarovic, Secretary General of the Serbian Committee of World Energy Council - John Šarenac, Henkel - The winner of the previous journalist competition
Decision on best report will be made during January 2012. by a majority vote, and published on the websites of CEDEF, the Energy Efficiency Agency of the Republic of Serbia, UNS and NUNS.
